and today we introduce...

empathy. That's right, today Ian displayed a clear example of empathy for another person.

His little friend fell down and started to cry, so Ian took him by the hand and led him over to his mom, put his buddy's hand on the mom's knee, and then gave his friend a hug. As though to say, "see, dude? It's okay, here's your mommy!" It was seriously the sweetest thing I've ever seen.
